A few days ago an article titled “The Soul Food Restaurants of Jacksonville” popped up in my Facebook feed. Number 3 on this list was Gilbert’s Social owned by Chef Kenny Gilbert. I am obsessed with Top Chef and immediately recognized the name. Chef Gilbert was a favorite of mine from the very first episode of Season 7 and I had no clue he had a restaurant here in Jacksonville. There needs to be more open dialogue regarding mental health. More education is needed to bring awareness to the effects of mental health conditions and less shaming to those who are suffering. Tortoiseshell cats have a very distinctive personality and have what many people describe as “tortitude”.
