Mrs. Miller and her Mom Get Crafty

I hope everyone had an awesome 4th of July holiday! My weekend was pretty busy. I did pictures for a friend on Saturday, mine and Mr. Miller’s anniversary was Sunday, and then of course the holiday. I feel like I haven’t posted in forever, but it’s really only been since Sunday. Have you missed me? Today I spent some time working with my Mom on a project we’re hoping will turning into something people will really love.

Mom bought a Cricut Explore Air 2 and we’ve got a lot of crafty ideas that we hope to eventually sell at the flea market, Etsy or both. I think our big thing will probably be painted wooden signs with quotes and things on them. I had no clue how to use the Cricut, but Mom ran with it and figured out how to cut out the stencils. Go Mom!

We’ve made a couple of “practice” things to try and get the hang of it and they’ve turned out pretty great. My step-sister, Stephanie, her husband Brent and their kids came to visit, so Mom made her a picture frame that says Family Vacation. I did my picture frame with Mr. & Mrs. Miller (of course) and our wedding date on it. For our first time trying it they turned out pretty awesome and it’s got me really excited to do some things we can actually sell.

There are SO many things you can do with the Cricut. Stencils, handmade cards, vinyl decals…the possibilities are really endless. So watch out everyone, Mrs. Miller and her Mom are getting crafty! (My Mom has always been super crafty making jewelry and other things, but me? Not so much.) An Etsy shop is in the works and when I get it up and running I’ll be able to give more details and share our creations with all of you.

Are you crafty? What’s your crafting forte?

As always, thanks for reading, and Happy Hump Day!
