5 Things I Can’t Live Without in the Kitchen

I spend a fair amount of time in the kitchen, so it’s important to me to have cookware, utensils, and knives that look good, work well, and most importantly items that will last. Today I’m going to share with you 5 things I can’t live without in the Kitchen and I’m going to tell you why I love them.

I personally own all of these items and use them on a regular basis. I would never recommend anything that I don’t already own or wouldn’t consider purchasing. All of these products can be purchased on Amazon.

KitchenAid Artisan Series 5-Qt Stand Mixer with Pouring Shield – Cobalt Blue

One of my most prized possessions is my Kitchen Aid mixer. They’re like a right of passage or something and nothing quite compares to seeing her sitting in her dedicated spot on the counter. This mixer is a workhorse and you can use it for many other things in addition to baking. You can use it to mix up the ingredients for meatloaf and even mashed potatoes. With all of the different attachments available the possibilities are endless – there’s an ice cream maker, meat grinder, food processor, pasta rollers and cutters, etc. The 5 quart bowl with the handle makes it super easy to pour batter into cake pans and the pouring shield alleviates unnecessary messes while adding ingredients to the bowl.

Vremi – 5 Piece Bamboo Cooking Utensils

These natural bamboo cooking utensils include a spatula, turning spoon, mixing spoon, forked spoon, and a slotted spoon. I love these because they are really well made, longer than most wooden spoons , and they have rubber handles which makes them really comfortable to use. I only wish they made them in all one color.

J.A. HENCKELS INTERNATIONAL Classic 8-inch Chef’s Knife

My Mother-In-Love gifted this knife to me at my bridal shower and it’s become the most used knife in my kitchen. There are more expensive chef’s knives out there of course, but this is a quality knife and perfect for home cooks like myself. It’s multi-purposed for mincing, slicing and dicing. This baby had an insanely sharp blade right out of the box and with regular upkeep it will keep a nice edge. J.A. Henckels is known for producing quality knives and this one is no exception.

Modern Innovations 16-inch Stainless Steel Magnetic Knife Bar

I love this magnetic knife bar so much! It keeps all of my frequently used knives in one place and perhaps the best part is that I was able to get rid of my knife block and free up some much-needed counter space! It’s really easy to install and the magnet is really strong so there’s no need to worry about your knives falling off. I’ve been using mine for about 6 months now and it’s awesome.

Tramontina 6.5 Qt Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven

Next to my KitchenAid mixer, this is probably the 2nd prettiest thing in my kitchen. It’s not just pretty though, it’s practical and cooks beautifully. If you’re not prepared to shell out several hundred dollars for a Le Creuset, this is the next best thing. I’ve had really good experiences so far with this dutch oven. I’ve made soups, spaghetti sauce, chili, and even Julia Child’s Boeuf Bourguignon. Everything I’ve made in it has been delicious. The Tramontina Dutch Oven is solidly constructed, distributes heat evenly and is oven safe up to 450 degrees.

Well, there you have it. The top 5 things I can’t live without in the kitchen. Do you currently use any of these things in your kitchen? What are some of your must have kitchen tools?
